THE FOUNDATION'S BOARD
The Foundation’s board has six members, two from Somaliland and four from the US. The President is Ahmed Awale, a leading Somaliland environmentalist. Mary Barkworth, a botanist, serves as both Secretary and Treasurer. Others are: Abdisalam Yassin, President-Emeritus of Shifa University, Hargeisa; Anjanette DeCarlo, Chief Sustainability Scientist at the Aromatic Plant Research Center of St. Michael's College, Vermont; Steve Jesseph, an expert on corporate responsibility and sustainable business; and Sara Wilkinson-Lamb, a highly regarded Utah science teacher.
