Providing resources in both Somali and English greatly increases their value to Somalilanders and Somali speakers elsewhere. If you know both languages, please help us! We shall credit people who do so and encourage including such contributions on résumés.

Contribute to the NewsletterThe Newsletter needs original articles that focus on the biology or ecology of Somaliland's plants and animals. This is a great opportunity to for publishing small scale, inexpensive research that will add to what is known and the contributor's credentials.

Add Somali namesOpenZooMuseum and OpenHerbarium feature scientific names, but they can show Somali names. Help make OpenZooMuseum more user-friendly for Somalilanders by adding Somali names to it. A dictionary of Somali plant names is being finalized. When it is final, we shall add Somali plant names to OpenHerbarium.
