What it is: A list of the vascular plant families present in Somaliland, showing the number of species present and containing links to descriptions of the families and keys to the genera present in Somaliland. The information is based on the Flora of Somalia but the species numbers reflects additions to the flora since its completion. Similarly, some descriptions and keys have been modified to reflect recent taxonomic research. The list can be downloaded as a csv or PDF file. For more explanation of the tables, click here.

What it is: A presentation, with links to pdfs, on the evolution of land plants. It emphasizes the benefits of the changes that led to evolution of different groups, and why groups differ in their present abundance.
